So this past weekend my wife and I had our good friends the Ways come to visit us.

The girls decided to head out shopping and the boys hit the open road to explore VA.

I have lived in VA for many years now but have never been to natural bridge, the wax museum or foamhenge before.

It was a fun day out exploring VA

VA is a really great state full of cool things to see and do.

Our last stop was a little dinner on the way out of town to grab a bite to eat.

I did not know that rt-11 still runs on the top of natural bridge. We drove over it on our way home.

Enjoy some photos from our journey this past weekend.

Rise Up Climbing – Open Climb

I just finished my second session down at Rise Up Climbing.

It was an open climbing night and I was there to capture the fun.

It was a mix of young and old that came out to climb.

I just wanted to post a few of my favorite images from the other night.

If you would like to see more from my sessions go to http://www.pictage.com/584975

I will be posting the images tomorrow.

Or check out www.riseupclimbing.com to find out more about the gym.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has taken the time to vote for Stone Blue in the best of Lynchburg contest. If you have not yet voted there is still time and we would love the extra vote. Plus you get the chance to win a special fine art print from Stone Blue Productions just for voting.  Thanks again. As many of you know, each year Lynchburg Living Magazine publishes a list of the area’s #1 companies, people, and places in their famed Best of Lynchburg article. This year we are happy to announce that Stone Blue Productions has been nominated in the Best Art Studio category! Thank you so much to all of our clients for this honor. Just wanted to send out the link so you can vote for all your favorites in our great city. Of course, we wouldn’t tell you who to vote for in the Best Art Studios category, but apparently our family cat, Bartholomew, has no qualms about that! :) :) Thank you again to all of you who have submitted your votes to put Stone Blue in the running.http://www.lynchburgliving.com/bestof/

Culhane Modeling Session

I had a great modeling session the other night with Kate a model from Roanoke.

It was a little cold out the night we shot but that didn’t stop us from creating some stunning images.

I am so happy with the way this session turned out. Our location was just perfect for this shoot.

Kate I hope these images help boost your modeling carrier to the next level.

I enjoyed working with you.

Ok so I would really love to have you’re feedback on the look and style of these images.

If you have a favorite let me know as I just might use your pick in my next add.

Feel free to email me or post your comment.

Pfeiffer & Clark Wedding

Well I shared with you the paintball outing with Chris and the boys and now it’s time to show you their wedding day.

Chris and Suzanne were married at Glencliff Manor just outside of Lynchburg.

They had a beautiful outdoor wedding and reception following on the lawn.

It was the perfect fall wedding and the weather was just right.

What a super fun couple and great bridal party I had to work with.

It was just a layback crowd and that’s the way I like it.

Everything went really smooth and I think the images captured the beauty and excitement of the day.

You guys are not only great clients but have turned into good friends.

Enjoy your married life together.

I had a fun trip to Charlottesville the other weekend to shoot the wedding of Kelly and Adam.

Their wedding took place at the UVA Chapel followed by a reception at the Glenmore Country Club.

I got a call from Kelly about two weeks before their wedding looking for a photographer.

It was the only date I still had open in Oct and was glad I did because I had a great time capturing this Jewish/Catholic Wedding.

The ceremony was beautiful and I was amazed at how the priest and rabbi worked together to blend both traditions into their wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony was over we headed out to the beautiful Glenmore Country Club situated just outside of Charlottesville.

The reception was gorgeous and when they lifted the bride and groom up in chairs and started singing “Hava Nagila” I was ready to put the camera down and join in. Well, I did at least sing along and clap a little.

Kelly and Adam, thank you for the pleasure of working with you both.

God bless and shalom.
