Most people know what a bridal session is, but do you know that a Trashidal session is?
Well … I made up that word, and Briana helped me make up the session.
She wanted a little bit “Trash the Dress” and little bit bridal session all rolled into one.
So, I did my best to keep her clean while still getting her the images that she was looking for.
I hope you enjoy this session. I know I had a great time shooting it!
Thanks, Briana for being a great model and client.
See you on your wedding day.
I have been waiting quite a while to post about this, and I am really excited that I am finally getting the chance to tell you about a great, brand new blog site for brides in our area … Hill City Bride.
Stone Blue has been working with Hill City Bride for a few months, and we have done all of their design work. From their logo and media kit to their website design and ads, we have taken care of Hill City Bride from their inception.
All brides need to check out this new site for great ideas on wedding tips and trends along with other ideas to make their day unique. This will be a great resource for our local area to help brides plan their special day. Beyond that, Hill City Bride’s ideas can be translated into practical advice for anyone who is interested in planning a great event, being in the know about fashion or even choosing a first home.
You can fan Hill City Bride on Facebook and follow them on Twitter, but we suggest that first and foremost you check out the blog itself. While you are there, check out our ads on the right hand side for our photography and cinematography.
We are proud to help this great website get off of the ground, and we wish Hill City Bride the best of luck in their endeavors! Meanwhile, check out the design work that we did for them, and also look for some upcoming posts featuring some of our wedding work.
I have really been looking forward to sharing this bridal session with you featuring Courtney Abbott.
The location was perfect, the bride came prepared, and the dress, flowers and overall look were just, well … stunning!
I enjoy using a mix of looks in my photography … whether it is classic fine art, a little bit funky or even vintage … this session had all three.
I think all the work Courtney and her mother put in to finding the perfect location payed off and is evident in her photos.
Courtney, thanks for being a fantastic model, and I especially thank your mom and dad for all of their help during our session together.
I had a great time and am excited for you and your family to enjoy these images. Oh and Ed, too … just not now for him.
Enjoy your bridal sneak peek, and I will see you all in July for the big day.
I met Rachel a few years ago through my involvement with the film Pilgrim’s Progress that was shot in and around Lynchburg. Rachel is getting married at the end of July, and it was great to be able to do the photographs for such a special occasion in her life.
We headed up to the chic new venue, City View, to capture some elegant bridal images.
Rachel, I wish you the best, and your big day will be here before you know it.
I am trying to play catch up this week from all the work we did last week. So bear with me – more of our sessions will be posted soon.
I did want to share a few images from my recent bridal session with Maegan Ward.
Her wedding is this coming weekend so you will be seeing more from her again in the next week after the wedding.
Maegan is getting married at the beautiful West Manor Ballroom in Forest, VA, so she decided to capture her bridals there as well.
Maegan, thanks for a fun afternoon, and I look forward to seeing you again this weekend.
Try to relax a little this week because before you know it, you will be married and all that hard work will have paid off.
See you soon!
Alison,
Thanks for being such a relaxed bride on our session.
I don’t think things could have gone any smoother.
Sorry these images are coming a little late to the blog, but better late then never at all, right?
I am looking forward to your wedding in just a few short weeks.
Until then, enjoy your images and try to relax if you can.
Dustin, you better not even be thinking about looking on here for images of your bride!
Yes, it is bad luck.
Nothing like a little rain to mess up an outdoor bridal session, right?
Well, with just under three weeks to Sara’s wedding, we went for it anyway, but decided to nix shooting outside and instead enjoyed the comfort and beauty of the Cradock Terry Hotel.
While the storm was brewing outside, we got right to work capturing some stunning images of the bride to be.
Enjoy some of my favorite images from my session with Sara.
