I headed up to Blacksburg to the campus of VA Tech for my session with Kara & Aaron.

We spent most of our time at a beautiful little garden area on the campus where Kara and Aaron had met each other for the first time. It was a great little spot full of neat areas to photograph.

It was a great session, and I learned a little about Aaron’s work in the Entomology field at Tech and also about his love for Gopeds.

I’m glad we could all catch up to make this day happen.

Enjoy your images, and I will see you in a few weeks for the big day.

I met up with Jason and Melissa at the foot of Sharp Top Mountain on the morning of their engagement session.

They both love the great outdoors, and they wanted their session to take place somewhere that had special meaning for both of them.

The weather was perfect with just the right amount of clouds set into a nice blue sky.

We took the bus to the top of the Mountain to save on all that hiking time, and we started to capture some stunning images from the mountain top.

Jason and Melissa, I had a great time during my session with you both.

I really enjoyed getting to know you both better, and I am looking forward to our next time together … are those wedding bells I hear in the distance?

Enjoy this sneak peek at your images.

I just booked with Halley and Alex a little over a month ago for their wedding next April.

We had some great conversations about some fun ideas to use during their engagement session, and before we knew it, we had set a date and time.

I love the ‘Burg, but I really enjoy hitting the road and seeing new places. The couple wanted to do their session in Alexandria, VA, so that is where I headed.

We had a great day together, and we did not end the session until the sun had set. We started the session with man’s best friend and ended it with guy meets girl.

Thanks, Halley for all the work you did to make this session a great one. Alex, you are the man for just going along with whatever Halley or I needed you to do.

Time to send out headshots to those modeling agencies. Enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed creating them with you.

Until our next time together…

What do you get when you combine a traveling fair, a record shop, balloons and a fun loving couple? You get a great shoot full of color and brimming with love.

I had a great time with Ez and Jake as we headed to Speakertree Records on Fifth Street in downtown Lynchburg to go incognito for a while behind some classic records.

Then we headed over a small carnival with its games and rides as our backdrop. Red balloons capped off the shoot for a fun and lively feel.

Thanks Ez and Jake for a great afternoon … we captured a lot of memories, and I hope they bring a smile to your face every time you see them.

It is spring time and love is in the air. This time of year is wonderful to shoot in, as the weather is mild, but the couples are red hot in love.

Rachel and Hans were no different. It did not take long to see these guys had some chemistry going on.

I had a wonderful time with them both and look forward to sharing not only their engagement sessions, but upcoming bridal and wedding with you all soon.

I love working with textures that you just might not think would look good together. Give me an old building, broken down cars, crumbling walls and I can take care of the rest.

Finding beauty in the small and forgotten is fun. Creating memories to be cherished for a lifetime is priceless.

Someone you will be seeing more of this year on our blog is my associate photographer Meridith De Avila Khan.

She joined me on this engagement session and you can view some her images below as well.

Thanks for the help, Meridith, and glad to have you joining the Stone Blue team.

Enjoy this post and thanks for a great time guys.

Some of my favorite images that Meridith captured from the session with Rachel and Hans.
