What a beautiful wedding Kara and Aaron had out at Mariner’s Landing located at Smith Mountain Lake.
The weather was near perfect for an outdoor wedding at this time of year.
They had some really neat touches at the wedding such as having bees on their cake. After all, Aaron is an entomologist, so that was very fitting.
The classic 1930’s boat was also a great surprise and a perfect spot to capture some photos that the couple can use to send out as a “thank you” to all of their guests.
Weddings are made in the details, and the addition of glow-sticks to end the night was the perfect touch.
Thank you both for being just wonderful to work with, and I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from your wedding day.
Enjoy!
Stone Blue has had a few busy months, which have been full of weddings every weekend.
A few weekends ago we had weddings both in Northern VA and also in Lynchburg.
It makes for a busy weekend, but with two crews taking care of clients we can handle the biggest of jobs.
While I was working in Northern VA, Stone Blue’s videographer, Joel, and associate photographer, Meridith, were working with Rachel & Hans at the beautiful West Manor.
I meet Rachel a few years ago while on the set of the film Pilgrim’s Progress, so it was great getting to work with her again.
Having already finished up their engagement and bridal images a few months ago, we only had the wedding images left to capture.
Meridith did a wonderful job photographing their day, and we are happy to have her as a part of the Stone Blue team.
Also make sure to check out Joel’s wedding trailer from the couple’s day … it is stunning.
Thank you both for trusting us with such a special day. It has been our pleasure to take care of you and your family.
Enjoy!
Dayna & Patrick came back to the ‘Burg a few months ago so we could capture their engagement images.
You might remember their cool proposal story involving Jim Henson’s Muppets. That’s right … Kermit the Frog & Miss Piggy.
If you missed their story here is the link to catch yourself up to speed on their unique proposal.
We traveled up to Leesburg, VA to capture Dayna and Patrick’s big day.
They got married in a quaint little church, and their reception was held at a neat restaurant in the downtown area called Lightfoot.
We had a great time working with this super relaxed group. It was a stress free day full of love and celebration.
I loved the vintage inspired bridal gown and bouquet … such a cool look.
Special thanks also goes out to my talented second shooter, Jonah Guelzo, who also happens to be my youngest brother. He captured some great shots from the day and spotted the way cool red tractor.
I am blessed to be surrounded by talented individuals and also have them be a part of my family.
Dayna and Patrick, enjoy some of my favorite images from your wedding day, and may the Lord bless you both on your journey together as a married couple. Thank you for bringing us along for your ride.
You might remember this bride, Courtney Abbott, from her bridal session that we did a few months back. If you missed it, here is the link to check out her beautiful images.
Ed and Courtney were just an awesome couple to work with.
Their wedding was held at the Old Pate Chapel, and the reception followed at the Parlor Ballroom in downtown Lynchburg.
I think the word “beautiful” sums up the day pretty well for me.
Enjoy some of my favorites images from my day with the now Mr & Mrs. DiBrango Jr.
Also make sure to check out the groom’s custom made bird cage for all the wedding gift cards. He did a great job with it, and I thought it was a special touch on their wedding day.
Thanks for the honor of choosing Stone Blue to serve you and your family on such a memorable day.
May the Lord bless you both!
It takes a lot of careful planning to pull a wedding off nowadays.
This was the case for Jennifer and Brice … the wedding planning started over a year ago as they readied Jennifer’s parents’ home for the big day.
Whether it is an intimate affair or large event, a wedding at home can be just the perfect place to share such a magical day with the one you love.
Everything turned out perfect for the couple’s big day. The guys were ready on time, and the bride was stunning in her dress.
With the Sim family farm as our backdrop, I was really excited about working with the bridal party to capture some memorable images. Some of my favorite images are at the end of this post, so do not miss them.
Jennifer and Brice, you did it … you’re married! Now, what do you say? Well, you could start a family right away, but go on wait a little while … see the world, and enjoy being husband and wife. You worked hard to get that title.
Thanks again for a great day!
Julio & Jessica, what a absolute pleasure it was to work with both of you.
Thanks for being so relaxed about everything and just enjoying your special day together.
This is how weddings should always be.
I am happy to share some of my favorite shots from your wedding day.
Enjoy, and I look forward to working with you both again in the near future.
